Grade A Painters

Grade A Painters was founded by Christopher White back in 2009 around one simple idea: everyone deserves a home that feels just right, and getting there should be a positive experience.

We noticed that too many painting companies treated their work like just another job, but we saw an opportunity to do something different—something better.

Our story is about caring, listening, and making sure you love the space you live in for years to come. We’re beyond excited to keep doing what we love; making a lasting impact one project at a time.

Our Story

Christopher White of Grade A Painters

My name is Christopher White, and I’ve had the privilege of growing Grade A Painters from its humble beginnings to the thriving company it is today. My journey into the painting industry began during my college years when I joined College Pro Painters. It wasn’t glamorous work, but it was the kind of job where you learn by doing, get your hands dirty, and walk away each day with a sense of accomplishment.

Those early days taught me invaluable lessons—things that can only be gained through experience. While I didn’t realize it at the time, those summers laid the foundation for something much bigger.

After graduating from Simon Fraser University, it felt natural to start my own painting business, and in 2009, Grade A Painters was born. Over the years, I’ve witnessed countless transformations—dull walls brought to life with color, homes filled with warmth, and smiles from clients whose spaces were revitalized. For me, this work has always been about more than painting; it’s about creating spaces that feel like home and delivering an experience that exceeds expectations.

However, as the company grew, I came to realize that maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer care on every single project required more than just dedication. Without someone who shared the same vested interest in building the company and overseeing production, it was challenging to ensure that every promise we made to our clients was fulfilled.

A Partnership Built on Excellence

Bob Afrisham of Grade A Painters

That’s where Bob Afrisham stands out. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with many painters, but none have matched Bob’s integrity, work ethic, professional expertise, and exceptional attention to detail. When Bob moved to Canada from Iran in 2015, he had many years of experience in the auto detailing industry but didn’t know English and had no prior experience in painting. Yet, through unwavering determination and relentless effort, he honed his craft to a remarkable level. As our clients often highlight in their reviews, his workmanship is truly second to none.

In 2022, Bob and I became partners, and it’s been a perfect alignment of vision and values. It’s rare to find a partnership where both individuals share the same goals and a clear process for achieving them, but Bob embodies everything Grade A Painters stands for. Together, we’ve committed to not only delivering the highest-quality workmanship but also fostering respect and trust in every interaction.
